Post Diwali, it is very important to detox and relax as we slip into winters. Thus, bringing you the classic curated detox tea, with a tinge of adaption and personalized brewing by me to make it more gentler and palatable detox experience. Let us begin with the preparation!

Ingredients:

  1. Lemongrass Leaves: I have used fresh homegrown leaves. Thus please look for healthy, fresh and fragrant leaves too.

  2. 1/2 inch ginger

  3. Cloves

  4. Cardamom Powder

  5. Cinnamon Powder

    The Brewing Method:

    1. Rinse your lemongrass to get rid of dirt and dust.

    2. Keep a pot for boiling water over your stove top and add in your lemongrass leaves. This also a good time to add grated or crushed ginger root if you prefer to use ginger.

    3. Add 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder and cardamom powder and crushed cloves.

    4. Simmer your tea in the pot covered for about 5-7 mins. Switch off the heat.

    5. Strain the lemongrass leaves and ginger roots from tea and serve hot with or without sugar.
